Midwifery Program

of the Medical Training Institute of America

“I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvelous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.” (Psalm 139:14).

With a focus of returning the responsibility of health care during childbirth to the family, the mission of the MTIA Midwifery Program is to train midwives to provide Godly, wise, and medically skilled counsel and assistance to expecting parents. The Midwifery Program prepares students for ministry by covering a wide range of topics related to women’s health care, pregnancy, childbirth, and infant care.

Through this three-year program, we desire to provide excellent childbirth training that will equip women for service as mothers, labor attendants, and fully-trained midwives, while protecting their hearts and minds from the lies of humanistic thinking.

Amy Kieffer “Several years ago, the Lord unmistakably called me to serve Him as a midwife. After thorough discussion with my parents about the training options available, I enrolled in the MTIA Midwifery Program. The rigorous academic projects during those four years forced me to cry out to the Lord many times and trust Him for wisdom and grace. Now, I am a certified midwife! This field has proved to be an incredible responsibility and honor, and a wonderful avenue to be a vessel of the light and love of the Lord Jesus Christ in the lives of women and families of all backgrounds.” —Amy Kieffer
